Hundreds of runners once again took to the streets of Sheridan Friday morning to take part in the Sneakers and Spurs Fun Run. The weather was overcast and a bit cooler than usual for the runners that lined up along Main Street for the event.

They came early, and they came hungry to the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Grinnell Plaza in downtown Sheridan. The breakfast has been a source of fuel for thousands before rodeo Friday festivities begin downtown.

The WYO Theater Capital Campaign has announced receipt of a pledge of $500,000 from the Joe and Arlene Watt Foundation Board, according to Richard Davis and Kandi Davis, co-chairs of the campaign.

The Sheridan Police Department has announced that, once again, the Free Ride Home program will be in full swing in downtown Sheridan on Friday and Saturday nights. Vans will be stationed at the barricades on North Main and Alger Streets beginning at 9:30 p.m.
