Casper Marathon draws traveling runners

The Casper Marathon has special meaning for one runner. Vicki Becker of Binghamton, N.Y., is racing in Sunday's marathon to complete her tour of marathon running in all 50 states. And it comes just one day before Becker turns 50.

Joey's Fly Fishing Season is ON!

The first of 43 youth fly fishing camps begins June 7th in Sheridan.

Begun as a pilot program in 2007, Joey's Fly Fishing Foundation is just about to begin its second full season as an up-and-running, non-profit youth mentoring organization. Founder Joey Puettman tells us that the first of 43 camps begin Monday, June 7th.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Casper fire officials say a blaze that destroyed a Red Lobster started in the building's storage area but investigators are still trying to figure out a cause. Three employees were in the building Tuesday morning when the fire happened but no one was injured.

The fundraising campaign to purchase the sculpture “The Dance” that adorns the front lawn of the Historic Sheridan Inn began a little over a year ago. Thanks to a generous donation, the funds have been raised and the sculpture will remain in front of the Inn permanently.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - Yellowstone National Park officials say they continue to search for a 25-year-old Oklahoma man who may be missing. Park officials say Peter Louis Kastner, of Oklahoma City, has not been heard from for some time. Rangers believe it's possible that Kastner has been in the Yellowstone area for two weeks and may be using a fake name.

Miss Wyoming 2009, Anna Nelson from Rock Springs, was crowned last summer at the WYO Theatre. She competed in January at the Miss America pageant, and then returned to Wyoming to travel around the state speaking on her platform, preventing underage drinking. A highlight connected with that, she tells us.
