Ranchester Continues To Revise Their Municipal Code Book

The Ranchester Town Council continues to make revisions to the town's municipal code book. Ranchester Mayor Cliff Clevenger says that the revisions are long overdue.

The Council approved numerous revisions on 2nd reading along with the 1st reading of an amendment to Title 5.

This Week Is Mental Illness Awareness Week

The Sheridan V.A. Hospital will be the site of a special program today as part of National Mental Illness Awareness week. V.A. Hospital Recovery Coordinator Dr. Victor Ashear explains what the program will entail.

The program will take place from 1 to 4pm today in the auditorium at the Sheridan V.A.

Two Arrested In Early Morning Burglary Attempt At Downtown Business

One Sheridan man and a juvenile were arrested early Monday morning during a break in at the Sport Stop in downtown Sheridan. The pair allegedly broke the window in the front door of the business around 2:30 Monday morning. 18-year-old James Allen made his initial appearance in Circuit Court Monday afternoon. Judge John Sampson set bail at $25,000 cash.

Sheridan Man Charged With Sexual Abuse Of A Child

18-year-old Zackery Morrison made his initial appearance in circuit court Monday afternoon. Morrison is charged with sexual abuse of a minor and sexual exploitation of children.

Wrench Ranch First Master Plan Comes Before City Council

The first master plan required under the new gateway zoning district in the City of Sheridan has been submitted to the City Council. The 31-page document designates more than 20 percent of the 186-acre development as open space. Mayor Dave Kinskey says the plan sets a precedent for future developments.

All Major Power Outages Are Back On

Several areas in and around Sheridan either were or are without power today. Most Story residents woke up without power this morning but that power has been restored. Other outages caused the cancellation of classes at Sheridan College and Arvada-Clearmont Schools.
