Miss Wyoming to Vie for Miss America Crown This Saturday in Las Vegas

This Saturday, January 30th, Anna Nelson, Miss Wyoming 2009, will be competing at the Miss America 2010 pageant in Las Vegas. Anna hails from Rock Springs, and was crowned at the WYO Theater in Sheridan last June. Her platform is Preventing Teen Alcohol Abuse, and her talent is a character dance done on point.

About a Week Left to Get Pink Flamingo Tickets

Begun about six years ago, the Pink Flamingo has grown into one of the most anticipated social fundraising events of the year. Proceeds from the Pink Flamingo go to Family Planning of the Big Horns, which uses the money to educate women on reproductive health and the importance of getting pap smears to detect cervical cancer and mammograms to detect breast cancer.
