According to Wikipedia, Zumba is is a Latin dance -inspired fitness program that involves dance and aerobic elements that was created by dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez in Colombia during the 1990s. It has certainly gained popularity in Sheridan recently and there will be a two hour Zumbathon Saturday at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. Zumba Instructor Lorrie Anderson explains that the event is for a good cause.
Anderson said that tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 by contacting her at her Facebook page, or you can pay $20 at the door. Once again, Zumbathon will be Saturday morning from 10 to noon at the Sheridan Holiday Inn.
