This Saturday, keep an eye open for runners and bicyclists in and around Buffalo as the Johnson County Family YMCA hosts the 28th Annual Buffalo Triathlon.
The triathlon consists of three events: a swim leg of 36 lengths in the Y pool; a bike leg of 14 miles; and a run leg of 4.2 miles.
Participants can either do the Tri-It Triathlon, the Dare To Duathlon or just the Buffalo Bike.
Brooke Olson, Sports Coordinator for the Buffalo YMCA, said the community looks forward to this event. She tells us more.
Olson said there is still time to sign up, and registration will happen right up to the beginning of the event Saturday morning. However, those wishing to participate in the swimming events need to swim Friday evening from 4:30 to 8pm.
Olson gives the cost of registration.
Check-in for the race events will be Saturday from 6:45 to 7:30am and the races will start at 8 and 8:30am.
