CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming finished 2012 with snow levels lagging below normal.
Lee Hackleman is water supply specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Hackleman says the state's average snowpack dropped to 84 percent of median levels by Dec. 31 - down from 87 percent the week before.
Hackleman says basins in southeastern Wyoming need to see more snow to catch up with the rest of the state.
Last year at this time, statewide snowpack was at 103 percent of median levels.
