We continue our year in review of 2011 today with a look back at the months of April, May and June. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.
In April, the Sheridan Senior Center held the 1st annual Keystone Awards, where Darlene Elliot, Dr. Seymour Thickman and Roman Skatula were honored for their commitment to the Sheridan community.
The Northern Wyoming Community College District announced the purchase of the Spear-O-Wigwam Ranch in Northern Johnson County. Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young.
In May the Sheridan City Council began their annual budget work sessions and held a special meeting where they approved a resolution to advertise for request for proposals for ambulance service within the City.
Also in May, it was announced that after just 18 months of being open, the doors would close on the Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan.
In June, a three-person panel committee that was in charge of reviewing the request for proposals for ambulance service in Sheridan recommended that the City enter into a contract with Rocky Mountain Ambulance. The recommendation didn't sit well with Sheridan Fire Rescue as Union President for the Local Firefighters George Neeson points out.
