This has been a very unusual year in Wyoming--at least health-wise. Sheridan County Public Nurse Educator Katie Hiller.
It's been strange this year, you may have guessed, because of the H1N1 virus, also known as "swine flu." Part of what is strange, Hiller says, is how this virus has impacted regular flu rates.
Katie says officials don't really know why we haven't had any regular flu. It could be that more people may have been vaccinated due to the scare over swine flu, which has also been in decline in recent months.
However, she also adds that swine flu started in the spring last year and at this point, we don't know if the swine flu is done for good or whether it will come back again this year.
