The first batch of Wyoming Whiskey sold out Saturday morning in less than half an hour. Gene In works at Star Liquors and was totally amazed by the turnout.
Customers were already in the parking lot at Star Liquor as early as seven.
Wyoming Whiskey is made in small batches and aged at least three years. It's all about making traditional bourbon in a non-traditional place--namely, Kirby, Wyoming, and it's sold only in the Cowboy State.
The wheat and barley is raised in the Kirby area and the water comes from the Madison Formation in the Big Horn Basin. In anticipated the demand and set purchase limits for his customers.
Sharon Barnett was hoping to snatch a couple of bottles for her two sons for Christmas. All that was left was an empty display case.
In says he's impressed with the taste.
Wyoming Whiskey will be restocked in January, February, and March of next year.
