Wyoming Urges Judge To End Federal Wolf Management

CHEYENNE, (AP) - The state of Wyoming wants a judge to end federal management of gray wolves in the state. U.S. District Judge Alan B. Johnson of Cheyenne heard arguments Friday in a lawsuit the state of Wyoming filed against U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The federal agency last year removed wolves in Idaho and Montana from the endangered species list while leaving them protected in Wyoming. Wyoming says politics drove the agency's decision to reject a state's plan to classify wolves as predators that could be shot on sight in most of the state. The state says it would maintain at least minimum wolf numbers.

A federal lawyer told Johnson the federal agency rejected the
state's plan because it didn't guarantee a continued minimum wolf population.

Please

If the wolf becomes a pest, then kill them, as it once was and shall always be, no different then other animals that need to be controlled.

People kill people and people tear apart family's and lives. Stop thinking like a democrat or republican. Think like a person who is free. A free person has a choice. Is the right to be free also outdated?

Your opinion does not

Your opinion does not outweigh the constitution on the right to bear arms. Old adage says, "guns don't kill people, people kill people." So in your valued opinion we should also outlaw archery equipment, rocks, sticks, knives, water, electricty, cars, alcohol, drugs, hands and anything else that may be used to take a life. I also would like to see the wolves survive but not at the extent of loosing more freedoms.

wolves

i agree leave the wolf alone, other ways have been proven to detour wolves from ranches and livestock, Over sees in scotland I believe they use big speakers that play rival wolf howls, When other wolves hear this they don't come around, We dont always have to resort to guns! the right to bear arms is an outdated law in my opinion, We don't need to hunt for food for survival anymore, Guns just kill people and tear apart family's and lives.

"Guns just kill people"

I'm all for your "freedom of speech" First Amendment, however your words jeopardize my "Second Amendment" right to keep and bear arms. Your words are treasonous to my constitution. The price for treason in this country should be a lot higher than it currently is. If people took that seriously we might not be in the current mess we are in..

Also I would like to point out a misconceptions about our "Second Amendment", it has nothing to do with hunting. We as Americans need to stop trying to use hunting as a way to protect our Second Amendment. The Second Amendment was put there to protect "we the people", agains our OWN foreign and domestic goverments.

You have got to be kidding

When was the last time you saw a gun kill anyone? I have quite a few guns and none of them have killed anyone. Maybe I have mine trained better than others. When was the last time you saw a dead deer along the road? Hunting keeps them in check plus feeds MY family. You sound like you moved here from some liberal State, maybe California?
