The Wyoming Department of Health and Futuristic Films out of Denver are teaming up to produce videos of Wyoming citizens. These videos will be used as part of the QUIT NOW smoking cessation series. Sarah Liles is an executive producer and senior producer with Futuristic Films. She tells us how the partnership came about.

The spots, Liles tells us, will be heartfelt conversations from real Wyomingites to, or about, their loved ones who smoke, in an effort to convince them to quit for the sake of those who care about them.

The director for the project is documentary filmmaker Daniel Junge, who was recently nominated for an Academy Award and whose work has won several awards from many national film festivals.

The dates for filming have been tentatively scheduled for sometime between December 9th and 12th. The town is yet to be selected; producers want to determine where the majority of the participants live in order to pick the most centralized location. Participants will be compensated a small amount for their time. The videos will air on television stations around Wyoming.
