It's been over a decade since the last Wyoming State Republican Convention was held in Sheridan; however, that will soon change as over 400 members of the State GOP are set to make Sheridan their home for the next few days.
Wyoming Republican Party Chair Diana Vaughan says that the platforms and resolutions committee will begin their work on Thursday and it will continue into Friday. The by-laws, credentials, and nominating committee will meet Friday, and then there will be a "nuts and bolts" training seminar for prospective candidates.
The Sheridan County Republican Party will host a welcome event Thursday night at King's Museum at 6 pm. Friday's events will culminate with the Congressional Delegation dinner at 6 pm at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. The convention on Saturday will take place at the Sheridan Junior High School and will wrap-up with a banquet Saturday night at the Holiday Inn.
