When it comes to healthcare, it seems there is always a new technology or new drug on the horizon. Some conditions, however, have been treated the same way for decades or more. Angelo DiMaggio is a physical therapist that is taking the traditional treatment for spine injury and bringing it into the 21st Century.
Jeanne Brooks is a physical therapist at Wyoming Rehab in Sheridan. She has been working DiMaggio’s system into her practice ever since attending a seminar with DiMaggio several years ago.
Brooks and local physician Dr. Ian Hunter will now participate in a national clinical study with DiMaggio. The study has a much wider scope than most. Due to the diverse populations and locations of participants, DiMaggio hopes to see tangible worthwhile results in the next year or so.
Patients will be given a choice whether or not participate in the study. Those who accept will randomly be treated either traditionally or in the strategic orthopaedic method.
