For the first time in our state's history, Wyoming has been selected to provide the Capitol Christmas tree. Bernie Bornong with the Big Horn National Forest office in Sheridan gives us the details.
Bornong said that they have actually known Wyoming would be selected for the 2010 tree a few years ago.
In addition to the tree, Wyoming residents are invited to craft and submit a Forever West-themed ornament to hang on several trees. Bornong explains.
A lucky Wyoming school child who has made an ornament will be chosen to assist the Speaker of the House at the tree-lighting ceremony, tentatively scheduled for December 8th, 2010.
