City of Sheridan officials held the groundbreaking for the Wyoming-Park project at the corner of what is best known as "malfunction junction" Friday. City Engineer Lane Thompson says that a group of homeowners in the Wyoming Park area brought the idea to the City in June of 2009.
Ward Three Sheridan City Councilman Bob Webster is happy that the project has finally come to fruition.
Cost of phase one of the project is $2.19 million and is expected to be completed by late December of this year. The overall cost of the four phase project is estimated at $9.5 million.
