Speaker of the House Colin Simpson, along with Senate President John Hines and legislators from both the Wyoming House and Senate, called on Governor Dave Freudenthal yesterday to direct Attorney General Bruce Salzburg to take all necessary action to add Wyoming to the legal challenge of the recently enacted federal health reform bill.
Governor Freudenthal announced late Wednesday that Wyoming will not be entering into litigation to contest federal health care reform.
Governor Freudenthal says, however, that he does have concerns with the health care legislation.
Attorneys General from thirteen states filed suit to challenge the health reform law on Tuesday. The current lawsuit is based on the claim that the bill is in violation of 10th Amendment.
