Wyoming Home Heating Bill Workshop: Keep it Simple and Get Cash Back

Operation Energy Save kicks off this week in the Cowboy State with a free workshop offering simple tips and tricks to keep winter utility bills under control.

A-A-R-P Wyoming and Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power Company are sponsoring the event, and Cheyenne Light's Sharon Fain says while much of the focus in previous years about utility bill assistance has helped those with lower incomes, this workshop in Cheyenne Wednesday will have information that can help folks at all income levels.

Joanne Bowlby with A-A-R-P Wyoming says that with the recession, it is understandable that so many people are concerned about their winter utility bills.

Bowlby says there are rebates also available for insulation, new windows and heating systems, and there are programs available to help people pay heating bills even if they don't traditionally qualify for state assistance.
