The Wyoming Democratic Party held a media conference in Casper Friday, stressing the urgency and real need for health care reform in Wyoming.
Among those speaking was Leslie Petersen, Wyoming State Democratic Party Chairwoman.
Jeri Calabrese shared her story about the struggle to afford healthcare during retirement.
Also speaking at the conference was State Senator John Hastert, who encouraged everyone to remember President Obama's eight health insurance guarantees:
No discrimination for pre-existing conditions; no exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays; no cost-sharing for preventive care; no dropping of coverage for the seriously ill; no gender discrimination; no annual or lifetime caps on coverage; extended coverage for young adults, and; guaranteed insurance renewal.
