(AP) - The Wyoming Department of Health says it has confirmed seven more swine flu infections in Laramie County, bringing the total number of Wyoming cases to nine. The department announced Friday that the seven new cases include five children and two adults.
Wyoming had been one of only three states in the nation without swine flu before health department testing uncovered two cases earlier this week. Those cases are a 13-year-old boy and an adult woman.
The health department has not released the ages or gender's of the most recent cases. All of Wyoming's cases are in Laramie County, the state's southeastern most county and home to Cheyenne.
Health officials say the reported swine flu illnesses have been similar to seasonal flu with symptoms.
