Wyoming Company To Build Man Camps For Pipeline Project

CASPER, (AP) - A company near Casper expects to employ about 120 people after winning a contract to build temporary housing for workers putting in a natural gas pipeline.

El Paso Corporation awarded a $36 million contract to Teton Buildings to build two man camps for the proposed pipeline that would extend from the Opal Hub in southwest Wyoming to Portland, Oregon.

El Paso spokesman Richard Wheatley said the deal still depends on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approving the pipeline project. Under the contract, Teton Buildings would provide site preparation, permitting, food and fuel for the man camps.
