Local board members of the Wyoming Community Foundation for Sheridan and Johnson County delivered grant checks to four area non-profit organizations this week. A media release from the Community Foundation states that the Sheridan Senior Center received $5,000 for operational support; $4,000 for Joey's Fly Fishing Foundation for their summer youth mentoring program; $5,000 went to the Story Community Foundation for their fire mitigation program, and the Tongue River Valley Community Center received $3,700 for the Ranchester Activity Park project.
The Wyoming Community Foundation for Sheridan and Johnson County reviews grant applications submitted for two deadlines per year. The next deadline is July 1st. Proposals are accepted in the areas of arts and culture, human services, education, civic projects, conservation and natural resources, and health.
