The Link – Partnership in Pink

October 23rd runners and walkers will gather at the Whitney Commons in Sheridan for the 2nd Annual Link - Partners in Pink event.

A year ago, Memorial Hospital decided in a fairly short number of days to put together a Pink Link run / walk as part of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Not knowing how the turnout would be with relatively short notice, organizers were stunned when over 600 people of all ages, shapes and sizes took part, with waves of pink moving over the route, despite less-than-ideal weather.

High Tech Park's First Project—To Be or Not To Be—We'll Soon Find Out

In a 3-2 vote, Sheridan Planning Commission recently rejected proposed design plans for what might still be the first building at the new High Tech Business Park in Sheridan. The proposal came from White Hat LLC, a Colorado-based developer, and the building would be used for what is called “light” or “clean” manufacturing.

Sheridan College Continues to Eye Capital Facilities

The Northern Wyoming College District Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting at Gillette College Thursday night. During the President's report, Dr. Paul Young addressed the issue of expansion of capital facilities at Sheridan College to accommodate the expected growth at the College over the next 10-to-15 years.

Sheridan City Council and County Commission candidates debate the issues at a candidate forum Thursday night sponsored by the Sheridan Jaycees.

The Sheridan Jaycees hosted a candidate forum at the Holiday Inn Thursday night. The forum was for candidates for Sheridan County Commission and Sheridan City Council. House District 30 candidate John Botton, who is running unopposed, was also on hand for the forum.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to an accident on Interstate 80 near Green River Wednesday afternoon that involved multiple vehicles. The crash was a result of the aftermath of a rock slide in the area known as The Palisades.

Lane Goldhammer Memorial Fundraiser

Two years ago, a beloved Big Horn student was killed in a car accident, but he has not been, and will not be, forgotten. This Sunday, October 17th, the friends and classmates of Lane Goldhammer will be holding a memorial bowling fundraiser at Cloud Peak Lanes in Sheridan.

RENEW Bowling at Special Olympics

The Wyoming Special Olympics, the Winter Edition, gets underway today in Casper.

Some 1,000 athletes from around the state are attending, including twenty-two clients from RENEW in Sheridan.
