Sheridan will be part of the process in a play that's on track to appear on Broadway, and the Sheridan College Theater department is looking for locals to help with the production.
The WYO Theater will host a creative team from Los Angeles and New York for two weeks in June during their development process of a Broadway-bound musical comedy about stock car racing titled: Hell Drivers of Daytona. DannyLee Hodnett is with the Sheridan College Theater Department.
Berton Averre, known for his work as the guitarist for the band The Knack, famous for the hit “My Sharona”, and is developing the play. He explains that the workshop is the second or third stage in developmental productions of a show.
Averre will be in Sheridan for part of the process that will take place this June. Contact the theater department at the college or the WYO Theater by next Thursday, March 15 if interested in auditioning. The first audition will be the 15th and a second will be held March 17.
