Wyo Residents Participate in Jury Duty Practice for Law Students

WY NEWS SERVICE --- University of Wyoming Law Students will be practicing the process of selecting jurors for a criminal trial, and Wyoming residents will participate in the staged jury selection process.

Cheyenne attorney Lori Brand came up with the idea, and she says the real-world activity helps budding lawyers to learn things they probably wouldn't have learned at law school.

The event is not only aimed at helping law students, said Marcia Shanor with the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Associatio (WTLA), but also teaches the general public a little bit about the process.

The event lasts all day Saturday in Laramie.
