Jury Named in Herrera Trial

A jury of six, plus one alternate, was chosen at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in circuit court in Sheridan, with opening arguments in the trial of Clayvin Herrera, a Crow tribal member charged with killing antlered game, set for 12:45.

Drug Take-Back Day This Saturday In Buffalo

The Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming (PMO), with help from the Buffalo Police Department and Johnson County Sheriff's Office, will be conducting the spring Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday in Buffalo, to coincide with the National event taking place the same day.

Buffalo Dentist Also On Board With Water Fluoridation

Buffalo dentist Dr. Brian Cotant, who sits on the Johnson County Board of Health with Public Health Officer Dr. Brian Schueler, is also a proponent of adding fluoride to the city's drinking water, as he reported the the board during their recent quarterly meeting.

Sheriff, County Waiting On DOC Contracts For Prisoners

Johnson County's Commissioners and Sheriff Steve Kozisek are waiting on contracts from the State Department of Corrections so they can review them to determine if it would be in the county's best interest to enter into a contract to house state and Federal prisoners at the county detention center.

A painting by artist Ed Smyth of another Sheridan artist, the late Bill Wright, was donated this week to the Wyoming Room of the Sheridan County Fulmer Library.

Hospital Seeking Ways to Deal with Title 25

Sheridan Memorial Hospital trustees, administrators and staff met with county officials and state legislators for nearly two hours Tuesday to talk about Title 25.
