Mead Announces Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Governor Matt Mead will sign a proclamation today declaring September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The proclamation is intended to call attention to Wyoming’s high suicide rate.

Darin Westby has been named as Wyoming’s new Director of the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources effective immediately. Governor Matt Mead made the appointment of Westby, who replaces Milward Simpson who announced his resignation in July.
