Sheridan County residents who received write-in votes in Tuesday's elections will learn the results after Friday's vote canvas.
Sheridan County Election Clerk Brenda Kekich said write-ins for state or federal office will be sent to the secretary of state's office for canvas.
Results of county and local offices will be canvased on Friday in the election office on the second floor of the Sheridan County Courthouse. Write-in votes for those offices will be made available after the canvas.
If a write-in name receives enough votes, that person will be on the ballot for office in the November general elections. The election clerk said if a write-in candidate is qualified for more than one office, he or she will be allowed to pick which office to run for in November.
