The first master plan required under the new gateway zoning district in the City of Sheridan has been submitted to the City Council. The 31-page document designates more than 20 percent of the 186-acre development as open space. Mayor Dave Kinskey says the plan sets a precedent for future developments.
The City approved a new set of design standards that will help development engineers when designing new subdivisions in the City. The City staff have been working on the standards for several years and local engineer Dave Engels says it’s good thing for everyone.
The Council was also introduced to Chuck Carbert from Alliance, Nebraska who has been hired to become the new Parks Division Manager for the City of Sheridan.
