The Workforce Development Committee of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce is hosting two workshops this week for supervisors' training for identifying substance use and abuse in the workplace. Chairperson of the Sheridan County Partnership for a Drug-Free Workplace Pam Peldo, explains what the training will consist of.
Peldo says that there is a benefit to the training for employers who've already implemented a drug-free policy.
Peldo said that even if you don't need the training for the Workers' Compensation requirement, the workshop is a great way to learn how a drug-free workplace policy can enhance your business or organization.
There will be two identical workshops tomorrow, both are free of charge by they do ask that you call the Chamber of Commerce at 672-2485 ahead of time to register if you can. The first workshop will be from 8:30 to 10:30 am, with the second one taking place from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Both of the workshops will be held at the Sheridan College CTEL.
