For the past several years, in an effort to enhance the existing workforce and to assist those coming back into the workforce, Sheridan College has been one of the community colleges in the state to provide classes. Director of Workforce Training and Development, Karen St. Clair explains.

Online classes as well, if there are instructors for certain classes that may not be offered in-house locally. St. Clair notes that the fastest growing market for online training are at-home moms.

St. Clair describes an exciting series of classes that are opening up for veterans.

These classes will be held at either the VA or at the college.

Karen says they are also offering free workforce preparedness classes that include up-to-date computer skills, interviewing for a job, workplace ethics and workplace professionalism. These free classes are open to anyone in the community.
