The Wyoming Council for Women's Issues will meet Saturday at the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum in Casper. The Council's 50th Anniversary Committee will meet at 8 in the morning to discuss potential 2015 activities.

The general meeting agenda includes a discussion of the Equal Pay Day Proclamation signed this week by Gov. Matt Mead, and ongoing solicitations for nominations for November's Employer of Choice Award. The meeting is open to the public.

After the meeting, council members will tour the “Women Veterans of Wyoming” exhibit, led by Curator Douglas Cubbison. Then retired Brigadier General Kathy J. Wright, Wyoming's first woman commander of the Wyoming National Guard, will speak about military opportunities for women.
The women's council is a 13-member board, appointed by the governor and include one woman from each of the state's nine judicial districts, four at-large members, and one ex-officio member from the Wyoming Business Council.
