Woman Charged in Drug Case Appears in Court

One of two women charged in connection with an ongoing drug investigation made her initial appearance in court Friday.

Tonya Colette Sickler was arrested last week and charged with two counts of Conspiracy and two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, both felonies.

A 19 year-old female was arrested and charged with two counts of Conspiracy and will make her initial appearance at a later time.

The arrests followed an investigation by the Buffalo Police Department at the urging of officials at Buffalo High School, who noticed unusual behavior with some students, and notified authorities. Information obtained from the investigation led to the arrests last week.

Sickler requested a court-appointed attorney and was released on a $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for February 11th.

The investigation by the Buffalo Police Department continues at this time.
