CHEYENNE, (AP) - Blowing snow and iced roads prompted the closure of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne on a wintery Christmas day in Wyoming.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation also closed a few smaller roads and warned of treacherous driving conditions in southeast Wyoming on Friday. The department issued black ice and no unnecessary travel advisories on roads near Saratoga, Lander and Basin.
