The Third Annual Wings and Wheels event will be this weekend and organizer and Amy Gerlock said children will get the opportunity to fly for free once again. Wings and Wheels is sponsored by Wyoming Pilots For Christ.
She said the nationwide nonprofit organization helps transport patients in need of medical care and ministers and missionaries to do their good works, among other things.
At the event, children aged 7 to 17 can ride in an airplane and look at different types of planes as they do spot landings, short take-offs and flour bombings
The event will be held at the Johnson County Airport, and kicks off this Friday with a barbecue for guests and the pilots at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a free pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m., followed by in plane ride-alongs for interested participants until 1 p.m.
There will also be a car show, and helicopter rides. For more information, contact Gerlock at 307-259-8399. Attached below is a flyer for the event.
