An upcoming symposium on wind energy is designed to generate a frank discussion on the challenging issues presented by the many wind projects planned across Wyoming. Governor Dave Freudenthal compares the wind energy debate to the increase in coal production in Wyoming four decades ago.
The proposals for wind energy projects in the state have increased steadily over the past two years. Freudenthal hopes the conference will generate ideas on what State government’s role should be in the management and regulation of the industry. The conference starts one week from today at the University of Wyoming.
