State wildlife officials are proposing changes to fishing regulations. Sheridan Media's Leslie Stratmoen has the report.
Wyoming Game and Fish officials are proposing changes to fishing regulations. Local wildlife official Bud Stewart of the Sheridan office introduced the proposals during a recent appearance on our news talk show Public Pulse. He said there were three proposals on the table. The first is allowing importation of a particular species of bait fish.
Another is allowing anglers to use artificial light while fishing.
The other involves bead fishing, which he described, then explained why the style is not allowed.
So, if that’s a method local anglers want, he said, the law would need to be changed. He said they’d like to hear from local fishermen and women over the next few weeks, regarding all of the proposals, then an official comment period will start next month.
