Turkey season for Sheridan, Johnson and Campbell counties has been open since October 1st, which presents a great opportunity for anyone wanting to harvest their own turkey for the holidays.

Since most turkey hunting in Northeast Wyoming is on private land, Mischke said that hunters should always get permission from the landowners prior to hunting. Turkey season for Sheridan, Johnson and Campbell counties will run through the end of the year.
