Offering a hand up to those in need, Sheridan Angels is a group that has grown quite a bit since it was created just last January. Now, it's members are getting ready to deliver 430 backpacks full of school supplies to children who need them.
Shelli Lapp, one of the group's administrators, explains what Sheridan Angels is all about.
Kelley Mason started Sheridan Angels with the simple concept of paying it forward. She moved to Sheridan with four children and one on the way and not much else. Based on the help she received from the community, Lapp says passing on help to others if you've had it yourself is the only thing to do.
She says the community really stepped up at recent fundraisers, and at unexpected times, to put together more than 400 backpacks full of school supplies for kids to use in the fall.
I asked Lapp why she and the rest of the Sheridan Angels do all of this to help others.
