WGFD Needs Budget Input from Public

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hosting a statewide meeting Thursday night to hear public thoughts and suggestions regarding the department's budgetary concerns. Recent funding issues within the department have dictated the department re-work it's financial operations, and part of the suggested plan includes raising license fees for hunters by as much as 50 percent. Information officer for the Game and Fish, Warren Mischke, said the public meeting is an attempt to draw fresh ideas from those who love and use the land.

The meeting will be primarily hosted online via a webcast, and those without reliable access to a computer are invited to the Game and Fish office at 7 o'clock to participate in the meeting from that location.

The department will also receive written comments through Oct. 24.

The G&F webcast can be accessed at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 via this link.
