In just a couple of weeks, residents of Wyoming will not have to cross state lines to play the lottery.
Tickets for the Powerball and Mega Millions games go on sale August 24th and Wyoming is estimated to receive $9 million in revenue from sales. The first $6 million of the lottery revenue will be distributed to cities and counties and the remaining will go to the state's schools.
With that information at hand, this week's Bank of Sheridan/Sheridan Media Poll Question asks: “Do you think the addition of the lottery will benefit the State of Wyoming?”
To cast your vote, log on to sheridanmedia.com, click on the poll question banner on the homepage and feel free to leave appropriate comments. Then be sure to tune in to the Public Pulse show Friday morning, at 9:10 on News Talk 930, KROE, to hear the results and discussion on the Jackson Electric Open Line.
