State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill should be back on the job soon. There have been several issues raised concerning Hill's leadership and last year, a law replaced Hill with an appointed director. Earlier this year, the Wyoming Supreme Court overturned that law.
A recently completed audit of the Department of Education raised several questions concerning inappropriate overtime payments, ineffective oversight and employees being paid out of the wrong budgets. Can Hill do an effective job when she returns?
This week's Bank of Sheridan/Sheridan Media poll question asks: “Do you think that Cindy Hill should be able to return to the Education Department without conditions?”
