Sales tax, we all pay it unless we cross the state's border and head up to Montana. It's one of the largest sources of income for the state and its counties. Here in Sheridan, we pay 6% on our purchases from merchants.
But what about those online purchases; should people be required to pay sales tax? This week's Bank of Sheridan/Sheridan Media poll question addresses the question, “Should online shopping be subject to local sales tax?”
