It's time once again to take a look back at a few of the top stories from this past week with our Sheridan Media Week in Review.
Monday, the Sheridan City Council tabled an ordinance that was amended on third and final reading to change how councilors are elected to the council. The amendment would do away with the three wards in the city and make the process at-large. Councilman Alex Lee discusses why he made the motion to table the item until the next meeting.
The City of Sheridan's water system received notice of violation from the E-P-A for exceeding the Total Coliform Rule. In December of last year, two tests came back positive for coliform, which resulted in the violation. City Water Superintendent Tom Manolis state that there was no health risk to the public, despite the violation.
An early morning fire Thursday destroyed the Chuckwagon Convenience store and gas station in Story. State Fire Investigator Richard Embrey was on the scene Friday, but could not give any details as to the cause of the blaze, as the incident remains under investigation.
