It's time once again to take a look back at some of the top stories that made the news this past week with our Sheridan Media Week in Review.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill asked the court to assist her in her effort to collect public records. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
Local residents escaped unharmed from a house fire Tuesday night on Burton Stree in Sheridan. The fire started in a gas fireplace insert, then extended to the siding of the home, but stayed primarily on the exterior. Fire Chief Terry Lenhart said that by the time firefighters arrived, a neighbor had already applied water from a garden hose to the side of the home and knocked down the majority of the fire.
The Sheridan County Commission did not talk about the flood management plan during their regularly scheduled meeting, as some had expected. Instead, the group decided to re-address the plan next month, during regular meetings. The discussion is set for Dec. 3, with the expectation to adopt the final plan on Dec. 17.
