It's time to once again take a look back at some of the top stories that made the news this week with our Sheridan Media Week in Review. The Sheridan City Council adopted the master plan for the Sheridan Historic Railroad District, which was formed in 2004. Liaison for property owners in the district, Edre Maier, says that the plan opens the door for potential opportunities in the area.
Officials with Sheridan County School District #2 met with local legislators to discuss upcoming bills in regard to education. School officials asked legislators to vote for two resolutions coming up in the 2014 session. One raises the age of mandatory public school attendance from 16 to 18 or graduation from high school, whichever comes first, and the other revokes drivers license privileges for anyone younger than 18 who no longer attends school.
