It's time to take a look back at some of the top stories of this past week with our Sheridan Media Week in Review.
The Sheridan Police Department issued a media release regarding an incident that occurred at Le Bella Beauty Supply and Salon in Sheridan. A male individual became upset when the store didn't have the “wax” that he was looking for and the man unsheathed a large knife in front of several employees of the store while he was sitting in his vehicle in the salon parking lot.
The man was not arrested, but the case was forwarded on to the Sheridan County Attorney's office for review.
The group, Up with People spent most of the week in Sheridan volunteering at various agencies, which culminated with two performances at the Sheridan Junior High Friday and Saturday nights. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter spoke with Brekken Baker, who's from Sheridan and has been with Up with People since July of 2012.
An accident early Friday morning at Arch Coal's Black Thunder mine in Campbell County resulted in the death of 24-year-old Jacob Dowdy of Upton. A male individual from Wright was also injured and hospitalized due to the accident, however, his injuries aren't believed to be serious in nature.
