There will no doubt be plenty of people taking part in the many Halloween activities that are scheduled in and around Sheridan this weekend. Sheridan Fire Rescue Firefighter Bret Smith says that costume choice is the number one thing that parents can do to make sure their little one's are safe.

Smith says that jack-o-lanterns can be especially dangerous if not attended to properly.

Smith also said that since Halloween is on a Saturday, there will likely be more trick or treaters out than usual, and that motorists need to use extra caution while driving tomorrow night.
