Members of the Wyoming Army National Guard embarked on the largest single unit deployment in state history last April. The men and women of that deployment are being briefed in Fort Hood, Texas prior to their return home. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

The return of the troops is a historic event as some 700 soldiers are gearing up for a much anticipated return to their families and loved ones. Sheridan V.A. Medical Center Public Affairs Officer Jackie Van Mark is currently in Ft. Hood to work with the troops before they head home.

Jackie explains that there are a number of different agencies that are at Ft. Hood to help ease the transition.

Van Mark indicated that the plan is for all of the members from the Wyoming Army National Guard to be home by Easter. Be sure to join us later as we'll tell you how you can show your appreciation to the returning soldier's this upcoming weekend in Sheridan.
