54-year-old David Parrish began his trek from Spokane, Washington to Nashville, Tennessee on August 1st and has traveled a little over 600 miles on foot so far. His wife LeAnn Parrish says his journey started with the goal of getting his music heard.
The Wishing Star Foundation helps grant wishes for children with life threatening illnesses. LeAnn points out that it's been the support of the people he's met along the way that has allowed David to keep his dream alive.
Parrish is expected to be making his way through Sheridan sometime Friday. He'll donate $1 to the Wishing Star Foundation for every mile he walks. Spokane to Nashville is approximately 2,000 miles. LeAnn said that the walk is expected to take about 80 days.
